Featured Institutional Experience

2026 VCP International Scientific & Community Summit

Accessible Group Mobility for the Off-Site Gala

CFJR Safe Travels supported the 2026 VCP International Scientific & Community Summit by providing planned ADA-accessible group mobility for the Summit’s off-site Gala.

Organization: Cure VCP Disease, Inc.
Operation: Off-site Gala transportation
Vehicle: Sentinel Two
Engagement type: Institutional group operation
Population supported: Summit participants, caregivers, wheelchair and scooter users, and individuals requiring boarding assistance

Sentinel Two was configured to accommodate powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters, required companions and caregivers, ambulatory passengers, and participants needing additional boarding support.

The operation included:

  • Advance passenger and mobility-device planning

  • ADA lift operations

  • Wheelchair and scooter securement

  • Multiple planned group movements

  • Coordination with Summit organizers

  • Movement between the Summit location and off-site Gala

  • Support for participants with different mobility requirements

  • Operational flexibility as participation needs evolved

CFJR also took time to learn about VCP disease and the challenges experienced by members of the VCP community. This helped the operation remain responsive to the people being served rather than treating accessibility as only a vehicle requirement.

Accessibility Experience

Power-Wheelchair Accommodation

CFJR’s ADA-accessible fleet has supported passengers using large powered mobility devices.

“Clyde is expanding accessible transportation around Atlanta, from the airport and beyond. He’s a veteran, and his ADA-ready vehicle easily fit my 388-lb power chair.”

Accessible Transportation Participant

Mobility-device accommodation is determined through advance review of the device type, dimensions, weight, lift or ramp capacity, securement requirements, passenger volume, and vehicle configuration.
